We can seat up to 150 people in our restaurant in York and offer an extensive menu and a full wine list. There are some great deals for groups and for parties in the Moroccan, Sunshine and Angel rooms as well as options for the terrace and the Barn.
All of our FOOD is both vegan, gluten-free and nut-free (except sesame and coconut) but not all of our DRINKS.
We have some gluten-free beers, the wine list is entirely vegan and some of each is organic. Dairy milk is still offered as an option for coffee, tea and hot chocolate alongside soya milk. There are plans to phase out the dairy entirely by 2012.

El Piano is recognised by
El Piano fue fundado en 1998 por la familia Chavez Millett Jackson Blake Sikking, tras una muy influyente estancia en Granada durante la
década de los 90.
El bar La Cura de la calle Cruz, en aquel entonces, era un local en ruinas con un STEINWEY en el centro, cuyas patas, rotas, estaban apuntaladas con unos cuantos azulejos desconchados.
El restaurante La Guitarra, en Cumbres Verdes, tradicional y con buenos precios, aún hoy conserva una envidiable vista sobre la vega.
Aun siendo muy distintos, ambos establecimientos estaban impregnados de la hospitalidad y generosidad característica de la cultura árabe, tanto en lo material como en lo espiritual.
Cuando la familia se trasladó a York en 1997, todos sus deseos eran recrear algo que les recordara a su hogar.
El resultado fue EL PIANO, con una irreverente mezcla de influencias árabes y españolas, y con una cocina diseñada para que prácticamente cualquier persona pueda compartirla y disfrutarla.
El Piano was founded in 1998 by the Chavez Millett Jackson Blake Sikking family and was directly influenced by their life in 1990s Granada.
La Cura Bar in Calle Cruz at that time was a virtual ruin with a splendid STEINWAY at its centre, its broken legs propped up on stacks of chipped tiles.
La Guitarra restaurant in Cumbres Verdes, traditional and well priced, to this day has an enviable view over the vega.
Each so different, yet both infused with Moorish hospitality and generosity, material and spiritual.
When the family washed up in York in 1997 all they wanted to do was recreate something that felt like home.
The result was EL PIANO, with its unholy mix of Arab and Spanish influences and a cuisine designed for almost anyone to be able to share and enjoy.
